Hotel Information

The Huntsville Hilton has been chosen as the conference site for the 5th Huntsville GRB Symposium, and is thus the most convenient choice of accommodations. The Huntsville Hilton is located in downtown Huntsville, on the edge of the historic Twickenham District, and is adjacent to the picturesque Big Spring International Park and the Huntsville Museum of Art. Within walking distance are popular attractions such as Alabama's Constitutional Village, the Huntsville Depot Museum, the Weeden House, and a variety of theatre and musical offerings at the Von Braun Center. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is within a few minutes drive.

Rooms have been reserved for Symposium attendees at the reduced rate of $69 (Single), plus $3 per night for each additional guest, not including taxes. Car parking is complimentary for registered guests. The block of rooms will be held only until 16 September, 1999, after which time they will be on a space-available basis. The reduced rates also cannot be guaranteed after 13 September, 1999. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night deposit. Deposits can be handled by cash, check, or credit card. The room guarantee may be cancelled without penalty up to 48 hours prior to the reservation for a full refund. The check-in time is 3 PM, and the check-out time is 12 Noon (though late check out can possibly be arranged, depending upon availability).

Directions from Huntsville International Airport: Follow signs for I-565 East (towards Huntsville). Exit I-565 at the Washington/Jefferson Exit (Exit 19C). Bear right onto Washington Street and continue straight. Turn right onto Williams Avenue. The Huntsville Hilton will be on the left.
