Latest revision 19 October 1998 Bad LAD 1 Data on TJD 11104 TJD 11104 = 18 October 1998 During an interval on TJD 11104, the count rates in both DISCLA and CONTINUOUS data for Large-Area Detector 1 were too high. The reason is unknown but a similar situation, also involving LA Detector 1, occurred during two closely spaced intervals on TJD 11094. The bad high count rates began at approximately TJD/SoD = 11104/33900 and ended at approximately TJD/SoD = 11104/34080. Quality Flag 71 was set for that time range. In the DISCLA data, the high count rates in Det. 1 were very strong in channel 1, clearly visible in channel 2, and not visible in channels 3 or 4. In the CONTINUOUS data, the channel range was not investigated but the high rates definitely appear in one or more of channels 3 - 5.
